| Pipework
Mechanics Ltd. was established in 1984 with 4 equal shareholders (currently
3), each of which had several years of experience in the pipework installation
industry. The Company's aim was to develop a sound business in the small/medium-size
contract sector.
Over the last 14 years the Company has developed a broad customer-base of satisfied clients by providing a high quality service at competitive rates. By deliberately keeping the workforce small, the directors are able to take a hands-on approach with every project, providing a flexibility larger organisations cannot match. The Company employs around 15 personnel qualified in relevant trades including plumbers, pipefitters/fabricators and welders. With direct supervision of all aspects of installation by one of the two directors we can ensure that the client's instructions are complied with and that all work is of the correct standard. Due to this close involvement of the directors, we are extremely flexible in the work undertaken and can normally accommodate customers' requirements at very short notice in the event of emergency breakdowns. We can provide call-out facilities for incidents occurring outside our normal working hours, and carry a range of materials to assist with such cases. Our directors and workforce have many years' experience in the industrial service and process pipework sector and regard on-site problem solving as part of their trade. Our back-up workshop gives us the capability to fabricate components which can be made to the customer's specifications or designed by us from scratch. Pipework Mechanics Ltd. can undertake the on-site installation of most piped services such as gas, compressed air and water together with pipework for process applications using all available installation methods such as welded, threaded, flanged etc. in a variety of materials including copper, mild steel, stainless steel. PVC, polypropylene, ABS, polythene and ductile and cast iron. We can also install hydraulic pipework for working pressures up to 700 bar together with the fabrication and erection of structural steelwork if it forms part of a total package. Our proven ability to handle work ranging from minor repairs and maintenance through to full installation of new systems allows us to confidently handle contracts with any company large or small.
